As mentioned last week, our CS:GO team will be playing in the Fragbite Masters tournament. Today marks the first day of our involvement in the competition, along with the rest of the teams in our group. The last two remaining groups will play throughout the evening until all outstanding matches are concluded. Although Reason breezed through the Dreamhack qualifiers, narrowly missing out on a spot, the group stage of the Fragbite masters will be a much trickier challenge. In their group is the Swedish powerhouse of Fnatic, alongside two Finnish teams. Fnatic have recently undergone a roster change which could prove to be their downfall in today’s matches.

So far, twelve teams have qualified for the round of 16 after placing top two in their respective groups. These include the likes of NiP, VeryGames, Astana Dragons, Alternate and many more big names. Of course, tonight Reason are hoping to join them in the knockout stage for the chance of winning a share of 140,000 SEK (roughly £13,000).

This will provide a great series of matches for the team as they prepare to attend the Dreamhack BYOC qualifiers later this week, in which they hope to qualify for the biggest CS:GO event to date.

Be sure to check back to this post throughout the evening to see updates from our matches. If you wish to find out more about the event, below are links to the website, stream and the groups.

Update 1: After a close game which saw the halftime score at 8-7 to Reason, we were able to carry the victory through on Inferno vs ENCE. Final score was 16:14. Up next is Fnatic.

Update 2: The game vs Fnatic was a great one if you were a Fnatic fan. Unfortunately, Reason lost 16-5 to the historic CS team.

Update 3: Kissiminttu lost their 2 games to Fnatic and ENCE so are knocked out. Reason lost to Fnatic knocking them down to face ENCE for a 2nd time to decide who go through to the round fo 16.

Update 4 (Final): We won the game vs ENCE in yet another close bout. The score ended the same as the first meaning we progress through to the knockout stage! Well done to the team and good luck to them as they try and qualify for Dreamhack later this week.
