Today we are pleased to announce that our DoTA2 team has been invited to the eSports World Cup later this month in Paris as part of Paris Games Week. The all-UK line up will be one of sixteen teams from across the globe competing in the hope to bring home a share of $25,000 and the title of eSports World Cup Champions for DoTA2. The competition will however be fierce. With teams such as Evil Geniuses from America and Team Empire from Russia, it sure to be a fiery affair.
Team Captain Kieran “DreadKnight” Ghataora had this to say upon hearing the good news:
“We’re really looking forward to attending the ESWC DotA2 Tournament, it’s such a huge event that we’ve considered going to spectate, so going there to compete is such a huge deal for us. We’d hope to do quite well however we do acknowledge some extremely good teams there such as EG & Empire. Cannot wait!”
The team will be joining our League of Legends team out in Paris for the event and we wish them luck for both tournaments and hope they come back with their heads held high!
