ESL has today announced the sixth season of their prestigious Intel Extreme Masters, which will feature a total prize purse of 635,000 $ divided in 3 games, which will be Counter Strike 1.6, Starcraft 2 and League of Legends, with the latter taking the spot which belongs to Quake Live last season.

This news mean a big hit for the Quake Live community, and the reactions on Twitter as well as other communities didn’t take too long to make an appearance, with varied opinions, but with he impressive number of viewers LoL pulled out at DreamHack this month, this may not come as a surprise to some.

It has been announced that these 3 titles will be present at 5 different countries during the season, which ones, still remains to be announced.
