It’s been a busy week for William “Firrlo” Sjöblom, as our Swedish Hearthstone player traveled to Oslo, Norway for Gigacon 2016. From September 30th til October 3rd, Firrlo competed in Gigacon’s Hearthstone LAN where he took home 5th-8th after falling to Riddle’s Deathboose in the quarterfinals.
Shortly after that, Firrlo made his way nearly 11km to Jakarta, Indonesia to compete in the IeSF World Championships as a representative of Sweden. From October 5th to October 9th, Firrlo competed against many of the world’s top Hearthstone players, each one representing their home nation. Despite making it to quarterfinals, Firrlo’s run would end against Azerbaijani player, Ego1st, in a down-to-the-wire 3:2 game. Ego1st would go on to win to the entire event, and there’s no shame in losing to the champion.
All of us at Reason Gaming are very proud of Firrlo and his journey around the globe as a representative.
