Over the last couple of days two of our Marvel Rivals roster, players Wav and Olegattoor, came to us and expressed that they no longer wished to continue in Ignite with us. Above all else, the happiness and wellbeing of our players is our top priority, so we reached out to Netease to discuss the situation and requested to make an emergency roster changes, due to the timing of the requests.
Following those discussions and approval from Netease, we agreed to release Wav and Olegattoor from their contracts with immediate effect and no penalties and, at the same time, brought in DRP and balas, on loan from LuneX, to complete our roster ahead of the start of pre-season. These loans are only for the duration of pre-season and are for substitute roles, they will be there to substitute for games where our starters are unavailable as due to the timings of some games and inability to reschedule, we cannot compete without substitutes.
The departure of Wav and Olegattoor has been entirely amicable. Both players leave with our full support, and we’ve done everything in our power to pave the way for them to compete in Ignite or MRC. We have acted solely to honour their requests and we are sad to see them depart, as both were valued parts of the team.
